Events in blue type have been organised by the WMF committee. We look after all aspects, including ticketing (where appropriate), publicity etc. Other events, in black type, have been put on by other local societies, groups or individuals.

The children and staff of Robert Kett Junior School present an evening of Music. The Senior Choir will be performing a variety of songs from Old Music Hall to Musicals. There will also be solo instrumentalists and African Drumming.

Wymondham Choral Society Summer Concert
Tonight’s programme includes Elgar’s Four Latin Motets, Stanford’s Songs of the Fleet, Five Mystical Songs by Vaughan Williams and two choral pieces by Anthony Joule who lives locally and is equally well-known as a teacher, organist, singer and composer.

“French Fireworks and English Fancies”; Philip Luke, concert organist

The French fireworks are brilliant, dramatic and colourful, and also provide an opportunity for virtuosic pedal solos. The English fancies are more reflective and aim to demonstrate some of the beautiful, velvety-soft registers available on the magnificent Abbey organ. Composers include Ralph Vaughan Williams, Marcel Lanquetuit and Charles-Marie Widor.
